Warrior Profile:
Contact: aim / Msn / e-mail. any 1 is fine. but if you are too uncomfortable giveing out any of this information on the board just simply place your player name here and contact me(brian) via any one of the listed messenger ways.
Name(first and last): Gender(male or female): Alignment(good, bad, or neutral) (*note Good entails that you will work with "hero"-like characters. You save the day, stop the invasion of evil, etc. Bad means that the character is a villain. There are no redeeming qualities about an evil person at all. Evil characters are so petty they steal a copper penny from their own mother. This reflects less the characters personality (though the opposite is not true. An evil character will not be nice. Ever), it reflects primarily the inclination of the character work with or against other characters, and the way they get things done. A character that is given the alignment of neutral will receive a much more thorough review than one that is good or bad, simply because it demands more of a player to maintain neutrality): Race/Species(see rules for this section. If you do not use an option listed in the Story thread, it is grounds for summary dismissal. Further, unless you state otherwise, and explain such to the satisfaction of the staff in the history of your character, your character is assumed to have the beliefs commonly held by his/her race/species. You have been informed.): Age(in years, from 16 to 30, preferably, if human): Height(in centimeters or feet): Weight(in kilos or pounds): Hair color(take note race/species governs this aspect. Northmen do not have purple hair. Hell, no one does): Eye color(ditto here. What your race/species is have a bearing in what eye colors your character can have:
Physical description(is your character handsome? If so, why is the character considered handsome, and by who? Ugly? Does your char have tattooes? Be creative, and more importantly, be detailed. One or two words, or even sentences, ain't going to cut it.):
Clothing(remember, most wear some kind of footwear. And be reasonable. A farmer isn't going to be wearing clothes made from gold threads):
Armor(for gods' sake, learn something about the armour you're going to have before putting something in. You -cannot- wear metal armours against the skin. Plate mail cannot be hidden underneath a shirt. Armours that are made of metal are -heavy-. Knight armor means only that the armor is worn by a knight! It means nothing else.It dosen't even tell us what kind of armor it is.):
Weapon(A limit of 3. the limit extends to one heavy/large weapon and a combination of 2 mid weapons MAX. Keep in mind, too, that if you are a small character, you aren't going to be running around with a ten foot long sword. Be reasonable):
Fighting style (Warriors fight a certain way. Some use styles based on strength, some on speed. Does your character fight using dirty tricks? Does your character make a fancy salute before combat? Enter a special stance that all their techniques begin at? Does the fighting style call on some inner energy or some spirit?)
Abilities (What basic skills does your character know can they cook, fix wounds, know about what plant properties are? Abilities are not required. You could have none at all if you wanted. Some abilities, like walking and talking, are just natural and don't count. An ability is some the character does very well, something that they excel in. If your character is the best swordsperson in a town famed for swordsmanship, that is an ability. If your character is the best cheese maker within 100 miles, that's an ability too. Generally, if your character was raised on a farm, you are assumed to have a basic skill level at farming tasks, but your character only knew enough to get by. It would be an ability if your character was so well versed in farming that they could, say, grow corn in a place that got snow 8 months a year):
Weaknesses (Weaknesses aren't a requirement if you don't have any abilities, but keep in mind that we personally look at the character sheets. A great deal of power or a powerful ability must be offset by an equally significant weaknesses; even if you are a weak character to begin with, you can also add weaknesses that will add to your character as a person. Weaknesses are a serious and signicant part of your character; we expect you to follow the weaknesses, as well as the abilities, of your character. Word of advice: put some thought into it. Note: You race/species is -not- a fucking weakness. The races are all balanced, so it does not disadvantage you especially to be one race over another. Further, your class is -not- a fucking weakness. Saying a warrior doesn't have spells doesn't count, and it doesn't count if your wizard can't swing a long sword):
History(your character's childhood, growing up, etc. You should explain why your character became the person he/she is. Where their roots are. How they learned to fight. Where they got their weapons. Whom taught them their abilities. Why your character doesn't share the traditional beliefs of his race/species.):
Personality(what does your character act like? How does he think of others? Is he nice, mean, a slutty slut-slut? This should flow from your alignment and your history. Try and make this real. ):
Writing Sample: (minimum 2 paragraphs): Write how your character would react to the following situation, or create your own situation, so long as there is a -fight scene and dialogue-:
You have entered the Cavern of Trials. You enter a room with several pendulum blades swinging back and forth at set timing pattern. If you succeed in passing this first challenge, beyond that you must face the Old King's High Knight, an adept warrior and magic-user, in combat magical or melee. Beyond her, lies three pedestals. The central one bears a crown. To the right, a gauntlet, and to the left, an alabaster scepter. Which will you choose?
(This is how we judge how you role-play. You can say your writing sample isn't the same as your role-playing, but that's just tough. We aren't going to give you special dispensation. So, get it right the first time)

There aren't any Lupin running around with bright pink fur): Eye color(similarly, only the slann have color changing eyes, and none of the humans have purple eyes):
Clothing(Think about this. Most people wear footwear, and unless you are super rich, you won't be wearing gold thread):
Physical description(is your character handsome? Ugly? Does your char have tattooes? Be creative, and include details. A few words or sentences won't cut it. You are creating a picture of your character for other players with words):
Weapon(A limit of two. Nothing larger or heaveyer than a short sword or what would require warriors training. Basically, this means really simple weapons. The character spent all their time learning magic. They had no time at all to learn how to use something big and fancy Mages are also allowed to create weapons along these guidelines from magic):
Magic(explained in the rules):
Abilities (What basic skills does your character know can they cook, fix wounds, know about what plant properties are?):
Weaknesses (Weaknesses aren't a requirement, but keep in mind that we personally look at the character sheets. Word of advice: put some thought into it, and second, your race/species is -not- a fucking weakness):
History(your character's childhood, growing up, etc). Include detail. This is the single-most important field. Your alignment, appearance, magic, and personality field should flow from what you have here. A character who had never seen magic their entire life would most certainly know no spells. Explain why your character wanted to learn magic, where, who taught them, why they learned their skills.):
Personality(what does your character act like? How does he think of others? Is he nice, mean, a slutty slut-slut? C'mon, think about it. If your character is a Lupin, he's not going to act like a normal human. Conversely, if your character is a Slann, she will not act like a murrn. Good people don't kill children out of hand, and evil people don't give to charity. Neutral folks don't do much of anything, really):

(note: How well you role-play is judged explicitly on the sample. If you have a poor sample, you are judged to be a poor role-player. You can wail and protest that your writing sample isn't how you role-play, but that is too bad. It effectively falls on deaf ears.)
